Over the years, I have overcome many obstacles….some on my own…..some with help.  However, I never gave up hope and was determined to succeed.

For example, certain individuals thought I was crazy to get my driver’s license. I passed the road test with no mistakes
on my first try, and was not nervous at the road test. Also, I attended a university and received a BA in
Psychology.

As a direct result of my professors making certain accommodations for my Disability so I
could have an opportunity to pass the courses, I graduated with a grade point average of a little bit
higher than 3.0. To this day, there are still people and acquaintances of mine who do not take me
seriously or have confidence in me. It is always an uphill battle and my work was and will never be accepted or respect be earned.
